    Job Overview

    Materials receiver receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, welding and fitting fabrication, and other various types of general labor by performing the following duties.

    Performance Objectives

    • Keep accurate inventory of inbound and outbound materials, tagging, upkeep with Work Packages and packing slips with materials
    • Be able to receive materials, identify, inspect, record and check for completeness of order
    • Will be required to load, unload, stage and package project material
    • Store material by proper classes and ensure QA/QC inspections are completed
    • Must be able to operate material handling equipment and road vehicles
    • Responsible for transferring custody of materials to contractors as requested with proper documentation
    • Maintain and update material tracking log

    Technical Objectives

    • Ideal candidate will have excellent attendance, good work ethic, willing to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Good communication and organizational skills
    • Complies with all company safety standards
    • Good housekeeping
    • Must have computer skills, ERP experience preferred
    • Be able to read and understand key elements of purchase order documents
    • Must be able to work in elements (cold weather and hot weathered working environments)


    Work Experience

    • (2) Two years of experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc.  
    • TWIC Card Required


    • High School Diploma/GED preferred. Job related experience may substitute.
